Pilot Varsity - Quick Take Review
by author name author awarded score: 78/100
Pilot Varsity - approximately $3.00 each. Found at my local office supply store and Staples
The Pilot Varsity is a disposable fountain pen that costs about as much as a decent rollerball. It is available in a variety of colors but is most often found in blue and the nibs seem to be a fine width. The pen holds a fair amount of ink and is so loved by some users that they have devised methods of refilling them. Varsity's write smoothly and have a decent feel in the hand in spite of being one of the lightest pens I have ever used. The steel nib seems indestructible and makes a perfect introduction to writing with a fountain pen. An ink view window show how much ink is left in the pen. For three bucks it's hard to beat a Varsity.
