A&W Marquis - Quick Take Review
by author name author awarded score: 74/100
A&W Marquis - approximately $7.00 each. Found online - used to be carried at Wal-Mart and Staples.
The A&W Marquis is probably a Chinese made cheapie with a generic gold colored nib available in a few different body colors. The nib puts down a surprisingly wet and smooth line. Slim and comfortable would best describe this pen. It comes with some spare international cartridges. A standard Mont Blanc converter can be used if you want to fill the pen from a bottle rather than use cartridges. I'm not sure it is necessary. The pen feels comfortable in the hand in spite of being a little slimmer than the Pilot Varsity. None of the parts feel like they are going to fall off and the clip seems pretty secure. It's a decent little pen for seven dollars.
