I have tried out about four fountain pens and have a question about nib sizes. The Pilot Varsity disposable and Waterman student's pens that I have tried had medium width nibs. I found I liked the feel of the fountain pens, but the medium width lines were a bit too heavy for me. It bled through too badly on DayTimer and a few other places. So I decided to try a Pelikano fine point. The fine point came, and the line it produces is just as wide as the medium point.
So my question is: since the Pelikano pens are "student" pens, are their fine point and medium point nibs actually wider than corresponding "adult" or general purpose fountain pens such as the Pelikan Souvran series, or other manufacturers?
Smooth writing. Pair it with bulletproof black ink from The Write Fill. I am a scientist and write by hand in a lab notebook all the time. The pen and ink combo are perfect! The pen writes as well as expensive pelikan fountain pen but without the worry of losing your expensive fountain pen. Porsche 944 Parts
